What a Year - G2G Worldwide

From Moscow to San Diego, this year G2G: Generation to Generation crossed new borders.

In addition to the vast activity in Israel, G2G brought together youth and older adults in 15 Jewish communities worldwide, learing together hi tech skills and sharing personal life stories and experiences.

In Moscow, young and old participants read letters written from the WWII battlefield, discussed Jewish and Russian customs, and continue to meet together weekly every Shabbat, after learning new prayers. In Kishinev, older participants are now communicating with family in Israel via Skype and LA students collected their grandparents' most meaningful Jewish moments. Miami particpants discussed everything from wearing a Talit and not being able to have a Bat Mitzvah to why navy cooks baked Matzah in September. San Diego and New Jersey students revealed the wonders of Google Earth, and even the Jewish community in Turkey sent G2G greetings to participants in Israel.

We are looking forward to another year of expanding G2G activities and adding fascinating chapters of the ongoing story of the Jewish people to the Beit Hatfutsot story collection, documented by younger and older participants learning, discussing and enjoying together.
